1. Organizational Location
The position reports to the IT Specialist in the Procurement Services Branch (PSB). The position will also work closely with external RHI Data Provider Organizations, Buyers, Team leads and the Strategic Procurement Cluster (SPC).
2. Job Purpose
The main objective of the position is to ensure completeness and accuracy of information contained in the in UNFPA Procurement Services Branch business operation, Reproductive Health Interchange (RHI) and Supply Chain data.
3. Major Activities/Expected Results
- Design and Develop report for UNFPA Supply Chain related data required by Business, not only restricted to internal data but all relevant external supply chain data to support development of the RH commodity Supply Chain Data Hub, Management decision and Strategic business requirement
- Support internal PSB teams to identify and investigate all existing PSB business reports and suggest data integrity and quality improvements
- Support internal PSB teams to identify and develop business reports
- Provide data analysis of PSB related business data for development of procurement dashboard and key performance indicator based upon business requirement and ISO9001 quality management system
- Design, develop, and document backed end data extraction for the following Atlas PeopleSoft modules; i) Strategic Sourcing, ii) Procurement Contract, iii) Supplier Contract management, iv) eSupplier Connection, v) Order Management.
- Review the existing UNFPA IBM Cognos and implement cognos for relevant PSB reports
- Review all critical existing reports in MS excel and based upon needs/benefit analysis implement reports in Cognos
- Identify, investigate, and resolve issues with supply chain data through interfacing with the PSB IT team, Buyers and Team leads as applicable.
- Perform regular and systematic data flow and quality audits on the RHI. Investigating source data from Atlas ERP, Order Tracking System/Order Management System, 14 automatic and manual data providers, against the internal existing data transformation rules.
- Troubleshoot each identified issue and record the solutions to get an overview of wherein the problems lie. This “issues log” will form the basis upon which IT team can determine how to re-build the system in future (if desired)
- Soliciting external manual data submitters and validating the data using the RHI Excel template tool. Liaise with the IT Team to process data and to perform backend configuration to import data.
- Ensuring data from UNFPA and other external manual/automatic data submitters is received and processed on a regular basis. Handling exceptions to data submissions accordingly by logging issues into Jira Ticketing system and working IT Team to resolve them.
- Log all reported problems and own data issues related to RHI data quality problems (both for data transmitted by UNFPA via Atlas as well as from other donors’ systems).
- Responding to queries from users of the RHInterchange website, including user registration requests and new data submitters.
- Document data integration rules and liaise with the IT team to obtain non-technical specification and description for recording purposes.
- Review stakeholder feedback analysis already performed on the RHI and based on this existing material, solicit updated feedback from key RHI for PSB’s management to firmly understand Donor communities’ interest and requirements for an enhanced version of the RHI to be developed.
- Based on both points above, suggest enhancements of the RHI tool for better adherence to the requirements of larger RH community.
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of functionality for any updated version of RH commodity Data Hub.
- Any other tasks and duties as required.

5. Job Requirements
Education:
- Completion of secondary education is required.
- Completion of University degree with a focus on Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics is desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 6 years or more of related work experience (e.g. with data analytics, Microsoft SQL, Stored Procedure and ODBC, Microsoft VBA macros, etc.) is required.
- Strong command over Excel Pivot tables, ADO is strongly desirable
- Advance knowledge in MS Access and MS Excel is strongly desirable
- Advance knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft backend table design is desirable
- Strong knowledge of IBM Cognos business analytics is desirable
