Scope of work

1.Identifying and validating existing information and evidence on the needs of “people on the move”

-To understand and identify the main challenges the target population faces, the consultant will conduct review of existing data previously collected on the target group, starting from the Youth Mixed Migration Project, the YPS focus groups and any other relevant programmes/projects by UNFPA or other partners.
-Recommend/develop a roadmap on how to collect any Identified missing data (if any) using a sound methodology and Human-Centered Design tools.

Activities:
a) Desk review of already existing data on the target group, starting with the Youth Mixed Migration Project the YPS focus groups and any other relevant programme/project by UNFPA or other partners.
b) Recommendations on roadmap to collect identified missing data

Final deliverable – Output 1: Report outlining target group priority issues/needs (focussing on Sexual and Reproductive Health/Maternal Health/Gender-based Violence) as well as major data gaps including recommendations on how to collect missing data 2. Horizon scan for potential existing solutions (either by UNFPA or others) that address target group needs and Analysis of whether existing solutions can be used/improved

-Identifying solutions planned or existing, and perhaps already being utilized by the target group - developed by UNFPA Country Offices, other UN agencies, partners
-Identifying strengths and shortcomings in the available existing solutions (if any) based on identified needs of target group and determining whether existing solutions can be refined/customized to meet gaps in needs.

Activities:
-Reach out and communicate with UNFPA Regional and Country offices in the region through the innovation focal points seeking examples of existing solutions that were developed to meet needs of target group.
-Reach out to other UN agencies and select few major partners inquiring with regards to potential solutions being planned or implemented.
-Request monitoring, implementation and evaluation reports to establish # and type of beneficiaries reached
-Analyze and compare needs of target group identified with services delivered through existing solutions
-identify strengths and shortcomings of existing solutions and whether they can be adapted to better meet identified needs

Final Deliverable – Output 2:
Document outlining:
Existing technological or non-technological solutions implemented by UNFPA COs, UN agencies, select partners
Strengths and shortcomings of existing solutions and analysis of whether that can be refined to better meet identified needs
