Major duties and responsibilities
Working with the Programme Outreach Specialist/Info management, the intern will provide support to the collection, analysis and dissemination of humanitarian results. The intern’s duties fall into three main areas:
Supporting the development and improvement of the Data Collection Tool for all emergency countries – filling in data, analysing and visualizing it.
Drafting and designing two-pager Country Fact Sheets for all emergency countries
Drafting Situation Reports for the Humanitarian Steering Committee
Assisting with standardization, archiving of communication materials including Situation Reports
Undertake any other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications
• Academic background and knowledge in areas such as information management, communications, data analytics, and graphic design.
• Experience in communications and working in international environment
• Fluency in English, working knowledge of another UN language desirable
• Knowledge and experience with Excel, Data Visualisation, websites and Google Drive
• Ability to think and work logically with attention to detail
• Ability to write clearly and concisely
• Initiative, sound judgment and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff members of different national and cultural backgrounds

• Increased knowledge of issues related to population and development, sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence
